Pepper tried to share Suki’s bed with her.
(I forgot to post these sooner and just found them on my phone)

I wouldn’t say that Suki is disobedient; the thing is that she just tends to cooperate when she wants to.
Other than the odd chewing incident she doesn’t get up to any trouble, she just tends to break a few of the rules. She knows certain ones like not going in the dining room and no taking golf balls in the house (Suki loves playing with golf balls for some reason) but then when people are cooking she won’t stay on her mat like she’s supposed to because she’s too busy obsessing over the food that someone might hopefully drop on the floor. But if we tell Suki off enough times for this she’ll end up going to her mat so she does listen.
When we got Suki (at 8 weeks old) she was already house trained so we didn’t have to go through months of having a newspaper-covered house like my parents had to when they got Hobbes (a golden retriever).
I’d say that training Suki was pretty easy because she loves food so much. For some tricks she gets too hyper because she wants the treat so badly and starts doing random things like jumping around the place in attempt to get it sooner but if you keep trying with them then they’ll eventually understand what you they’re supposed to do.
For us we found it a lot easier training her at home than taking her to a puppy class because she liked to mess around there. But if you do get a shiba it might be a good idea to take them to some kind of class in order to socialize them a little. (I remember reading online about shibas being antisocial and then Suki just completely loves people, other dogs and cats)
As for shedding, Shiba’s only shed once a year but when they do, they explode because of the double coat.
Obviously I’m terribly biased but I think Shiba’s are lovely dogs and as long as you are persistent enough with them they should be lovely for you too :)
Guess who’s birthday it is on Saturday!
Yes Suki is turning one :D
On 25th June we will have actually had her at home for a year, it’s just gone so fast.
Sometime over the weekend some of Suki’s friends should be coming round which will probably be chaotic but ah well
I’m going to film the dance to Suki chan on saturday morning (at 6 because she’s usually hyper when I do early morning filmings) so hopefully Suki will start dancing again
I walked into the dining room and the animals just looked at me like this.
Pepper goes up there so he can try and poke Suki and Suki tries to bite his paws. Sometime’s when they’re playing it looks like Suki’s being really rough but Pepper always comes back for more a few seconds later so it can’t bother him too much.

This is Boris, he is an 11 year old shiba inu whose owner recently passed away and is need of a new home as an only dog (which is why we can’t take him in obviously because we have Suki).
The website hasn’t been updated yet but there’s been a facebook update saying that the owner’s daughter who is currently taking care of Boris has her children moving in with her soon so she will not be able to take care of Boris. Boris needs a home urgently so that he doesn’t get put in a shelter. As he is an old dog, there is a low chance of him getting adopted so please consider taking him in.
